2022 Mortlake Public School Catchment Update

This one is a little strange actually, it will give up the portion of the catchment that is west of the Majors Bay Road to Strathfield North Public School in 2022. The area given up consists of part of Concord Hospital and Majors Bay Reserve, there are no residential properties located in the area, so there will not be zero effect on the enrolment number.

Please note the green-striped areas are what will be transferred to the Strathfield North Public School catchment from Mortlake Public School in 2022. The black border is the 2022 catchment boundary and the red is the 2021 boundary.

Mortlake Public School Catchment 2022

The most common name used by the NSW Department of Education is called “catchment” which refers to those students who reside in a particular area who are guaranteed a position in specific schools. When discussed from the perspective of a particular school is often referred to as one of the following terms.

  • School Zone
  • School intake area
  • School catchment

As usual contact the school in question or the Department of Education for the final confirmation and you can also access the full NSW and Sydney Primary School Catchment Map by following this link.

  1. Thanks for this analysis! There are no residents at the moment in the patch changing hands, but there are some ambitious plans to redevelop the old Concord RSL (which is in the reserve), so the change means the future residents of whatever tower or complex that gets built there will be in Strathfield North instead of Mortlake.
