This entry is for the 2022 Victoria and Melbourne secondary school zone map at year 7. There actually be a fairly significant amount of changes to existing school zones and new schools opening. I have detailed most of them in the recent posts within the last few weeks.

Stage 2 of Dohertys Creek P-9 College for the secondary students will be opening in 2022. It will be for year 7 students in 2022, year 7 to 8 in 2023, and year 7 to 9 in 2024.
The green striped area will be Dohertys Creek P-9 College’s 2022 school zone. The new school zone comes at the expense of the nearby existing schools and they are as follows.

Dohertys Creek P-9 College School Zone 2022

The primary portion of the Saltwater P-9 College opened in 2019 already. However, stage 2 the secondary level will start to open in 2022 for year 7, 2023 for year 7 to 8, and 2024 for year 7 to 9.
The new secondary level school zone for the Saltwater P-9 College will be purely at the expense of Alamanda K-9 College and Carranballac P-9 College.
The green striped area will be transferred from Carranballac P-9 College to Saltwater P-9 College in 2022 for year 7.
The yellow striped area will be transferred from Alamanda K-9 College to Saltwater P-9 College in 2022 for year 7.

Greenvale Secondary College will open in 2022 to year 7 students and progressively to each year until in 2027 it will be open to enrolment to the entire year 7 to 12 range.
Greenvale Secondary College is a new school and its school zone comes entirely at expense of nearby schools. Most of its school zone comes from Gladstone Park Secondary College. However, it is not the only one impacted, the list of the nearby Colleges with its school zones impacted by the opening of the Greenvale Secondary College is as follows.

Greenvale Secondary College School Zone 2022

Footscray High School is part of the Footscray Learning Precinct and newly opened in 2021, with additional stage two for the senior campus to open in 2023.
The secondary component of the new Learning Precinct is Footscray High School. This is further divided into three campuses as follows.

The new Port Melbourne Secondary College opening in 2022 for year 7 enrolment. It will be open to year 7 to 8 enrolment in 2023, year 7 to 9 in 2024, year 7 to 10 in 2025, year 7 to 11 in 2026, and year 7 to 12 in 2027.
Most of its school zone for Port Melbourne Secondary College will come from the existing western half of the Albert Park Secondary College. These are the green striped area in the image below.
The eastern part of the new Port Melbourne Secondary College’s school zone comes from Collingwood College and Prahran High School. The red striped area will be transferred from Collingwood College to Port Melbourne Secondary College in 2022 for the year 7 enrolment.
The yellow striped area will be transferred from Prahran High School to Port Melbourne Secondary College in 2022 for the year 7 enrolment.

Port Melbourne Secondary College School Zone

With the opening of Port Melbourne Secondary College in 2022, there is a drastic change to the existing school zone for Albert Park Secondary College.
Everything west of the Bay street and City road is now part of the school zone of the newly established Port Melbourne Secondary College in 2022 for year 7. The little strip of the area north of West Gate Freeway also has been transferred to the Port Melbourne Secondary College as well. The green striped area is what covers the above changes.
The red striped area is Albert Park and is transferred to Albert Park Secondary College from Elwood College in 2022, but since there are no residential buildings as far as I can see there will not be any impact to enrolment from this part of the change.

Albert Park College School Zone

Mckinnon Secondary College school zone will be expanded in 2022 to its northeast corner at the expense of nearby schools.
Most of the area that is in the middle of the transferred zone to Mckinnon Secondary College in 2022 comes from Bentleigh Secondary College, a smaller segment in the east came from south Oakleigh Secondary College. There is another very small part from the west of the transferred zone that will be transferred from Glen Eira College.

Edenbrook Secondary College was opened in 2021 for year 7 and will be for year 8 in 2022, then progressively one year at a time. With these new schools, the nearby school zones are redrawn to accommodate this change.
The green striped area was used to be part of the Officer Secondary College and for the Year 7 and 8 in 2022 will be part of Edenbrook Secondary College zone.
The red striped area was used to be part of the Pakenham Secondary College and for the Year 7 and 8 in 2022 will be part of Edenbrook Secondary College zone.
The yellow striped area was used to be part of the Koo Wee Rup Secondary College and for Year 7 and 8 in 2022 will be part of Edenbrook Secondary College zone.
Year 9 enrolment will be transferred in 2023, Year 10 in 2024, Year 11 in 2025, and finished with Year 12 in 2026. The red borders are the 2020 and the black borders are the 2022 school zone borders.
