Interesting changes to the Harbord Public School catchment in 2026. It essentially regained all the area it transferred away back in 2023 plus a bit more. I do not normally see this kind of swap back and forth in such short period of time, must be hard for the parents in the area to work with this. If you are interested in that change, you can find in the following blog entry.
The green striped area is being transferred from Manly Vale Public School to Harbord Public School in 2026. This area is mainly consist of single dwellings but also contain some media density dwellings as well, given the size of area being transferred, the impact on the enrolment number for 2026 will be fairly significant. Also the southern larger part of the zone being transferred back was the part that originally switched to Manly Vale Public School in 2026.
The red striped area is being transferred from Brookvale Public School to Harbord Public School in 2026. This area is mostly consist of single dwellings, so the impact is pretty minor compare to the transfer in the above paragraph.
The black border is the 2026 catchment boundary and the red is the 2025 boundary.

The most common name used by the NSW Department of Education is “catchment” which refers to those students who reside in a particular area and are guaranteed a position in specific schools. When discussed from the perspective of a particular school is often referred to as one of the following terms.
- School Zone
- School intake area
- School catchment
As usual contact the school in question or the Department of Education for the final confirmation and you can also access the full NSW and Sydney Primary School Catchment Map by following this link.
