2026 Ku-ring-gai High School Catchment Update

With Asquith Boys and Girls High School turning into co-educational school from 2026 on wards, significant changes to Ku-ring-gai High School is also happening in 2026. It no longer needed to cover previous Asquith Boys and Girls High School to provide alternative co-educational option. So its catchment has shift southwards with the newly freed up enrolment capabilities.

The black border is the 2026 catchment boundary and the red is the 2025 boundary. Please note, the Asquith Boys and Girls High School catchment change happens for year 7, 9 and 10 in 2026, year 7 to 12 from 2027 on wards.

Ku-ring-gai High School Catchment Change 2026

The southern green striped area is transferred from St Ives High School to Ku-ring-gai High School in 2026.

The purple striped area is transferred from Asquith Boys and Girls High School to Ku-ring-gai High School in 2026. Please note, this area use to be part of Ku-ring-gai High School catchment as well, but shared with Asquith Boys and Girls High School as well, it is now an exclusive catchment.

The red striped area is becoming exclusive catchment for Asquith Girls High School which is co-educational from 2026.

The yellow striped area is becoming exclusive catchment for Asquith Boys High School which is co-educational from 2026.

The most common name used by the NSW Department of Education is called “catchment” which refers to those students who reside in a particular area and are guaranteed a position in specific schools. When discussed from the perspective of a particular school is often referred to as one of the following terms.
