This entry is for the 2025 Victoria and Melbourne secondary school zone map at year 11. The main changes from last year being two new zones added compare to last year in the eastern Melbourne which are Cranbourne West Secondary College and Edenbrook Secondary College. There are more defined school zones in the western Melbourne as well, rather than the standard distance based ones used traditionally. Again if time permits in the next few weeks, I will try to detail them individually.

The proper name used by the Victorian Department of Education is called “Designated neighbourhood school” which is what a particular address is zoned for a particular school. When discussed from the perspective of a particular school is often referred to as one of the following terms.

• School intake area
• School catchment
