Top 100 Ranking NSW Sydney Primary Schools For The Year Of 2017 (Government/Public)

Top ranking NSW Sydney primary schools (Government/Public) for the year 2017. The result is a combination of both year 3 and 5 numbers from NAPLAN. One thing to note is some schools listed have very low enrolment number so the result is possibly not a reliable reflection of the entire school’s performance and historically can have big fluctuations as well. This is why I also included the enrolment number here, some school got big enrolment number as well due to they are classified as combined with both primary and secondary components counted together. One more thing to note is that the percentage is based on the number one primary school regardless of school sector.

  1. Umm… Wheres Ironbark ridge? Why is Samuel gilbert public school 90? SGPS is not even good. Ironbark Ridge is.

    1. Hi Olivia,

The ranking is calculated on a combined score of Naplan result for that particular year. If you look at the Naplap results for 2017 Samuel Gilbert Public School is about even in year 5 result with Ironbark Ridge Public School, where its year 3 result is more superior which result in a higher ranking.

If you look at 2019 ranking, Ironbark Ridge Public School has better performance compare to Samuel Gilbert Public School. In reality, there isn’t that much difference between the two schools when comparing Naplan results.
