Just returned from a really nice holiday and time to put out some new updates. Courtesy of comment by Bruce, I have reviewed the catchment for Summer Hills Public School and surrounding schools to ensure everything is up to date. Look like there is a fairly big mismatch between my map in the south west corner of the school catchment map. Most likely cause is that the address listed on the school’s website split them into different suburbs, so same street could have two different set of appearance in the list. School catchment that is represented by street names and numbers is what I hated most as well as a mapper. It is really hard to translate that correctly to the map format.
Anyhow enough mumbling, I have cross checked the data to ensure everything matched. I have made some minor adjustment to other parts of the Summer Hill Public School’s catchment map, so it should be completely up to date now.
Note: I have not had chance to update the main catchment map that was created by Google Map, so please refer to the following as the most up to date catchment map for the school that I have created. Catchment map is updated for 2017 intake.
The most common name used by NSW Department of Education is called “catchment” which refer to that students resides in particular area are guaranteed position in specific schools. When discussed from prospective of a particular school is often referred as one of the following term.
- School Zone
- School intake area
- School catchment
As usual contact the school in question or Department of Education for the final confirmation and you can also access the full NSW and Sydney Public School Catchment Map by following this link.
